Mohammad connects communities with safe and convenient streets designed for people of all ages and abilities to walk, bike or take public transit.

Mohammad believes the spaces in between buildings, especially streets and open spaces, are equally important as buildings in a city. He enjoys planning and designing infrastructure to make conditions safer and comfortable for walking, bicycling, and those who use public transit.

Mohammad has a background and interest in bicycle and pedestrian facility design, complete street design, streetscape design, BRT, spatial and data analysis, and visualizing planning data. He has an excellent knowledge of spatial analysis, cartography, data visualization and storytelling, as well as digital interfaces to convey important information, planning analysis, and technical drawings in a clear and concise manner for non-technical audience. Mohammad also specializes in developing visually compelling cartographic maps, infographics, graphic-rich planning reports and short documents, provocative high-quality 2D exhibits and 3D renderings, and public outreach materials from outreach boards and flyers to public input web maps to convey complex ideas in a clear manner. He is also a member of Nelson\Nygaard’s Visual Communications team.
