Missy Kennedy

Missy works with Nelson\Nygaard’s active transportation and safety sector; her local colleagues in Austin, TX; and across the firm to drive opportunities from pursuit to proposal. With a background in publishing, she brings a meticulous eye to proposal development, layout, and production—and enjoys copyediting as many of the marketing team’s proposals as she can. Her experience includes more than five years managing proposals and projects, including for an architecture firm specializing in K–12 education and a graphic design firm catering to institutional and educational clients in New England. In this capacity, she oversaw the final print issues of ArchitectureBoston magazine for the Boston Society of Architects, coordinating the production schedule, art budget, and press preparation. Alongside proposal and project development, Missy has taught topical publishing courses at Emerson College, and her writing has been published in the Boston Globe and the Chicago Review of Books.
