Maria Boehm, EIT
Maria believes that building robust public transportation is integral to connect communities, both physically and personally. She believes that transportation should be built for its users and center around their input. She knows that transportation has the power to create equity in all sectors of society and is motivated to apply engineering principles to people-centered planning to uplift underserved communities.
At Nelson\Nygaard, Maria works across the sectors on engineering design and analysis to create innovative and feasible designs. She uses AutoCAD to design urban corridor projects that promote multimodal movement and then ensures the design will perform well in its environment with traffic analysis software. Maria applies technical knowledge to human-centered design to reinforce its viability.
