Larry applies an extensive knowledge of high capacity transit operations toward developing safe and compelling places that people value.

Larry is a transportation planner with over 45 years of experience in public transit planning and operations. He understands that successful transit is not only designed well, but it also runs well. He applies experience in all scales and modes of transit to create holistic and context-specific service. At Nelson\Nygaard, Larry has designed suburban retrofit and mitigation of barrier highways to reinforce good development decisions with enhanced transit access, walkability, and repair of generational planning errors.

Previously, Larry served in the Operations Planning division of Metropolitan Transportation Authority New York City Transit, where he was responsible for short-term service planning for bus and rail. Larry is also a national officer of the Congress for the New Urbanism and founder of the New York chapter.
