Julia brings a passion for sustainability, equity, and storytelling to her role as a transit planner.
Julia understands the benefits of public transit for environmental and community health, so she uses her background in journalism, community engagement, and data analysis to collaborate with communities to build accessible and equitable transit systems. Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Julia worked as a freelance journalist and environmental and disability justice organizer in Chicago. She also served as a research analyst studying climate-resilient housing and transportation in the U.S. and internationally.
