Associate Data Scientist
Jin helps cities make data-driven decisions to create accessible transportation networks.

Jin specializes in urban analytics to help cities make informed decisions and build sustainable relationships between people and places. His academic background in urban planning and experience growing up in various cities around the world help him see the multiple layers and perspectives in a problem-solving process. He believes there is no one-size-fits-all solution to challenges in different urban contexts. Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Jin worked at a computer vision startup measuring street-level data, as well as a New York City-based planning advocacy nonprofit, where he focused on engaging clients and communities with data and evidence. He has also previously worked as an architectural designer on public and commercial projects in Los Angeles.
