Ian Kolesinskas

Associate
Ian integrates art and science to solve transportation problems.

Ian is determined to improve the world's transportation systems one block, one lane, and one route at a time. He brings skills in environmental design and transportation policy to Nelson\Nygaard's transit, urban corridors, and active transportation practices and develops visual communications materials across the firm. Ian understands accessibility as a fundamental part of his work and designs with the needs of all users in mind, from governance to the curb. Through his project work, Ian seeks to increase public understanding of and participation in transportation planning through easily intelligible and visually compelling concepts.

Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Ian worked as a transportation analyst and a community planner at the U.S. Department of Transportation Volpe Center.
