Holly Querin

Associate
Holly uses transportation planning as a tool for creating more equitable and livable futures.

As an urban sociologist, Holly has a deep interest in understanding the relationships between communities and the built environment. While studying the ways in which urban planning and policy can reinforce systems of exclusion, she gained an interest in learning how planning can instead be used to create more equitable systems. While this background informs her intersectional approach to centering racial, class, and gender equality in her work, Holly has also seen firsthand how transportation can impact one’s quality of life during her time living in both Copenhagen, Denmark, and the American South. With a focus on active transportation, urban corridors, and transit, Holly brings skills in writing, editing, research, and communication to a wide range of projects at Nelson\Nygaard.
