Eiji Toda
Eiji is a detail-oriented planner who seeks to improve the health and well-being of people of all ages and abilities by offering equitable, safe transportation options. His strengths include spatial and statistical analyses, data visualization and storytelling, public health, and cultural competencies. Eiji draws inspiration and imagination for better mobility for all from his upbringing in Japanese urban cities as well as his lived experiences navigating transportation systems in the U.S. and Latin America.
Before joining Nelson\Nygaard, Eiji worked extensively in health policy and programmatic research related to older adults and non-communicable diseases. He harnessed his spatial statistical analysis and visualization skills for projects related to heat vulnerability among older adults and age-inclusive environments in Portland in collaboration with a public agency and university.
