Briana Miller

Strategic Pursuit Manager
Briana helps teams connect the dots to bring their best ideas to pursuits.

Briana is a writer and communications professional whose background spans multiple disciplines in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. Her broad interests took her from museum education to arts administration to cultural public relations and finally, 17 years ago, to business development within the AEC industry. The unifying threads across these roles were a curiosity about systems and processes and an interest in messaging and communicating mission and ideas.

As the strategic pursuit manager at Nelson\Nygaard for must-win projects, Briana designed a process rooted in industry best practices to help teams identify, position for, and win the projects that they most want to work on. She developed a bespoke pursuit toolbox that spans the life of a pursuit, and she leads firmwide sessions to train staff how to use and scale these resources. Briana serves as an interview coach, proposal manager, and business development leader, who works across the firm’s sectors to pursue, win, promote, and celebrate our work.

She regularly contributes to The Oregonian/OregonLive and has been published in The Architect’s Newspaper, Oregon ArtsWatch, and the Oregon Visual Arts Ecology Project.
