Bill Schwartz, AICP
Over more than 40 years as a consultant, Bill has worked to improve options for people with limited mobility. Bill's commitment to accessible transportation began with a 1980 college internship, where he supported a major study on urban rail system accessibility. Since then, Bill has become an expert in ADA compliance, including editing the Federal Transit Administration’s ADA Circular, a widely used paratransit technical guidance document. Bill now helps lead Nelson\Nygaard's work to improve demand-response transportation options, including microtransit and TNC partnerships. He also chairs the Institute of Transportation Engineer’s Mobility as a Service (MaaS)/Mobility on Demand (MOD) Steering Committee.
