With a background in environmental and economic justice advocacy, Miranda is passionate about high-quality transit and active transportation as paths to equitable and sustainable cities. She has served as an advocate for better buses and safer roads in the New York metropolitan region, combining her expertise in mapping, data analysis, and policy. Miranda also helped build an alliance from the ground up that fights for eliminating road deaths and serious injuries in New Jersey, analyzing crashes and engineering data to make sure everyone can get home safely every night.
Miranda brings her environmental and public policy background to her transportation work, helping cities become less reliant on cars and more supportive of people walking, biking, and taking transit.
