Michelle has a decade of experience in transit service planning and scheduling, including with different modes and systems of varying sizes. She got her start working for small bus systems in Kenosha, WI, while still in graduate school. In 2013, she joined the bus scheduling department at the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). One of her largest accomplishments at the CTA was restructuring the California and Kedzie bus routes. Following her time there, Michelle worked as a scheduler and service designer for the region’s commuter rail system, Metra. Michelle believes transit plays a key role in promoting equity and helping cities thrive. By connecting people to economic opportunities, healthcare, and education, she believes good transit improves people’s lives.
