Michael uses his background in transportation and environmental planning to support the implementation of accessible, equitable, and sustainable mobility solutions. Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Michael developed key skills in program administration, data collection and analysis, and community engagement while working in both the public and private sectors. With the City of Santa Monica, he helped draft and implement their Electric Vehicle Action Plan. During his time with the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, he conducted emerging mobility research and presented policy recommendations for their Transit-Only Lane Enforcement Program. Michael also led Vision Zero project evaluations and coordinated bicycle and pedestrian programs while working for the Los Angeles Department of Transportation. As a consultant, he has partnered with the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority and Metrolink on regional transportation and environmental planning projects.
