Michael specializes in GIS analysis and mapping to help visualize and solve transportation problems. He creates, designs, and maintains geographic databases to spatially analyze how people move, get to work, and interact with each other and their environments. Michael has extensive experience in demographic analysis, ridership and trip patterns, parking management, and field study with community outreach.
Michael has used his mapping skills to analyze parking demand in downtown Charlottesville, VA, rework bus services in Cleveland, and study regional transit flows in Minnesota. Previously, Michael worked with NYSDOT on compiling all bikeways and trailways across the state and documenting proper fieldwork protocols for collecting mobile data.
