Jessica has 12 years of public- and private-sector experience in the transportation industry. She specializes in bus service planning, including bus network redesigns, line-by-line analyses, comprehensive operational analyses, corridor studies, and special projects. Informed by her academic background and her practical experience in the public sector, Jessica’s focus on community engagement results in projects that respect the unique characteristics and needs of the communities in which she works. Her clients receive well-managed projects, with clear and implementable plans that keep communities and bus customers in mind.
Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, Jessica served as a manager at the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), where she helped to improve bus stop spacing and overall route performance on various routes throughout New York City, improving the reliability of service for riders. Most recently, Jessica managed the MTA’s Bronx Bus Network Redesign, ensuring the project will move forward with a redesigned bus network coming to the Bronx in the summer of 2022, benefitting roughly 675,000 riders.
