Jean Paul has 15 years of urban mobility policy and transportation planning expertise working on multimodal transportation projects for communities around the globe—from small cities with basic transit service to some of the largest metropolitan areas and highest capacity transit systems.
As the lead of King County Metro’s Innovative Program, Jean Paul architected the planning, implementation and management of a broad range of emerging mobility pilot services conceived to complement and amplify the agency’s transit network. Previously, in tenures with the World Bank and the Inter-American Bank, he developed groundbreaking Smart City, BRT, and TOD initiatives for various cities across East Asia and Latin America.
Jean Paul is passionate about advancing equity through his work and believes the best approach to do so is to ensure the local community has a leadership role in determining how to shape its future. He has expertise in building strong relationships and negotiating successful partnerships with a broad range of stakeholders, including local, state, and federal government agencies as well as local communities, civil society institutions, academic institutions, startups, and traditional private-sector entities.
