Emily is passionate about improving access for all. She is fascinated by the intricacies of how and why people and goods move through spaces, and she is motivated by the desire to understand and improve the impact these movements have on our communities. Emily believes a thoughtful approach that considers various perspectives—and uses a multimodal framework and spatial equity lens—can help to connect people to jobs, to services, and to one another.
Before joining Nelson\Nygaard, Emily worked as a transportation research analyst for the Regional Plan Association in New York City. During her time at RPA, she used data analysis and strategic thinking skills to support transportation initiatives of many types—including transit, emerging mobility, and goods movement—at local, regional, and global scales.
