With a background in physical planning, Ashankh specializes in the intersection of land use planning and transportation. With a passion for public transportation, he works with transit agencies to develop strategies that increase efficiency and support ridership growth. Ashankh’s work has also focused on transportation equity; his graduate research examined policing patterns related to bicycle and pedestrian citations in disadvantaged communities in Chicago. His previous experience includes working with METRO Houston in the scheduling and system planning department and working with the United Nations Development Programme on urban risk assessment projects.
