Nelson\Nygaard lead the development of a strategic citywide plan that will guide transportation decisions in Madison, building on the city’s outstanding reputation for quality of life. The plan sets Madison on a path to be a more walkable, bikeable, and transit-ready city. It will help to create and strengthen livable neighborhoods, both in established parts of the city and in newer development areas on the urban edge.
The plan recognizes that residents, regardless of where they live, deserve a broad range of travel options. The plan will also define and evaluate enhancements to the transportation system that will make the city more accessible and attractive to employers, visitors, and University of Wisconsin students.
