Walker possesses a diverse range of professional planning and journalism experience. Combining his research expertise and data and geospatial analysis skills with comprehensive written insight and ability, Walker helps communities and public agencies realize practical and effective transportation solutions.

Walker has provided scheduling analysis to support bus rapid transit in Memphis, streamlined shuttle route alignments for the University of North Texas, and examined transportation system improvements for Everett, MA. He’s conducted streetscape and parking management surveys in Charlottesville, VA, and Annapolis, MD, to foster safer, more accessible, and efficient downtown streetscapes. Previously, Walker helped develop a countywide transit network study in Fairfax, VA, provided policy analysis and development with the Coalition for Smarter Growth, and worked at The Washington Post.
