Sophia Forde brings a passion for equity to multimodal transportation planning.

With a background in transportation finance and capital planning, Sophia excels at using research and data analysis to inform the planning process. A skilled graphic designer, she creates engaging reports and outreach materials that help make complex planning ideas understandable.

Previously, Sophia worked at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, where she focused on integrating the agency’s capital priorities with city, regional, and statewide planning efforts. She helped to restructure the agency’s Safe Routes to School program, led an internal audit of the SFMTA’s grant procurement process, and was responsible for programming development impact fees as part of a citywide committee. Sophia also worked at a small planning firm in Copenhagen, Denmark, which specialized in user-driven urban development projects.
