Lilly Shoup makes streets into places.

Lilly has more than 10 years of experience in multimodal transportation planning, performance management, and policy development. She focuses on national transportation policy and planning to ensure communities are able to integrate transportation and land-use through coordinated planning. Lilly believes that transportation investment can drive economic growth, lead equitable community development, and drive environmental performance.

Lilly has been a transportation policy advisor to senior leadership at the U.S. Department of Transportation and to the Vice President of the United States. She is experienced leading large, high-profile projects working with public and private leadership, including the Partnership for Sustainable Communities and the Transportation and Health Tool. She is the author of the inaugural report on pedestrian safety, Dangerous by Design 2009.
