Hazel Scher helps communities plan for a new generation of transportation systems.

Hazel specializes in transit and multimodal planning with skills in stakeholder and community outreach, transit operations data analysis, mapping, and graphics production. She has played key roles in comprehensive operational analyses, short range transit plans, shuttle design studies, and statewide needs assessments.

Hazel has helped develop transit system restructures in environments ranging from Minot, North Dakota to Cincinnati to Oklahoma City. She used census origin and destination data to inform the creation of last-mile shuttle services along the FrontRunner commuter rail corridor outside of Salt Lake City. Using mobile phone location data in Atlanta she analyzed potential park-and-ride locations for commuter express bus service. She has helped developed performance metrics for transit systems across the state of Ohio.
