Drew Meisel helps communities visualize possibilities.

Drew has a background in urban planning and design that gives him a unique perspective to communicate planning ideas visually to build a compelling story around possibilities. Drew specializes in developing infographics, graphic-rich planning documents, and custom branding that is geared toward increasing the public’s understanding of the planning process, possible outcomes, and potential tradeoffs. His passion is for translating complex planning data and analysis results into a concise and approachable format that improves audience comprehension and retention.

Drew is a member of the Visual Communications team, Nelson\Nygaard’s in-house specialists in document and graphic design, illustration, marketing and branding, and website design. As an adjunct professor at PSU, Drew demonstrates how to apply these same visual communication techniques to planning work in the Visual Communication for Planners course he offers each summer.
