Brandt Scanlan believes multimodal transportation systems help build healthy communities.

Brandt works to bring walking, biking, and riding transit together to create integrated transportation systems that offer competitive and enjoyable choices to get around. His focus is on developing efficient transit and active transportation to foster safe, equitable, and sustainable communities.

Brandt brings a strong analytical, data-centered approach to problem solving with a keen eye for design. He relies on transit and biking to bring real-world experience to his projects from bus rapid transit corridor concepts to multimodal policy development. Prior to joining Nelson\Nygaard, he helped develop King County Metro’s long-range public transportation plan.
