Ben Kaufman works to improve people’s travel experience through community outreach and engagement.

Ben has more than six years of experience in transportation planning and advocacy. His skills include graphic design, mapping, community outreach, marketing and communications, and quantitative and qualitative analysis. He specializes in the customer experience and has worked with diverse communities to organize and implement a collective vision for efficient, inclusive, and equitable transportation options.

Ben has worked on many transit-related projects from travel demand management for LinkedIn to a transportation master plan for the City of Boulder. Before joining Nelson\Nygaard, Ben worked on a service mapping project for San Francisco’s SFMTA and a bus stop improvement project for Alameda County’s AC Transit.
