Akshali Gandhi translates mobility into community vitality.

The link between transportation and land use policy is always on Akshali’s mind. As a long-range planner, she helps public agencies write strategic multimodal and transit master plans that integrate with broader community goals of economic development and social equity. Akshali also develops innovative strategies for parking and transportation demand management.

Previously, Akshali worked in Pittsburgh, where she co-wrote the City’s Complete Streets Policy – the first of its kind in western Pennsylvania. With skills in writing, graphic communication, and community engagement, Akshali brings nationwide experience, from bicycle infrastructure assessments in Alexandria, VA to demand management in San Jose, CA. Akshali is an ambassador for the American Planning Association and serves on the Board of Directors for the APA Foundation.
